MONTGOMERY

The town of Montgomery, Hampden County (formerly in Hampshire County, until 1812), was established November 28, 1780, from parts of Westfield, Norwich, and Southampton.
February 25, 1792, a part of Montgomery was included in the new town of Russell.
March 6, 1792, parts of Norwich and Southampton were annexed to Montgomery.
