The town of Dalton, Berkshire County, was established March 20, 1784, from the new plantation of Ashuelot Equivalent.
February 28, 1795, a part of Windsor ws annexed to Dalton.
June 21, 1804, a part of Dalton was included in the new town of Partridgefield.
